One of the largest hurdles in construction is the client visualizing the project. We use a CAD program that allows you, the client to do a virtual walk through. This includes the layout and colors of cabinets and counter tops, colors of walls and flooring. The ability to see the difference in how your home will look at completion, not only makes you more comfortable with the project, but it also helps us price exactly what you want. This saves time and money from the traditional method of making changes as we go. One of the biggest compliments from clients as been “It looks just like the pictures!” This is a testament to getting the details accurate from the beginning of the project.

Working with a builder can be a pleasant and educational experience. We as builders are here to walk you through the entire process, from the initial meeting where we listen to your dreams and desires to setting down and making material selections. Each home is as unique as the homeowner. Each project is specifically designed for the client, with their needs, desires, and budget in mind.

I have long known that construction was what I wanted to do for a lifelong living. I started building custom decks during the summers of 1985 while I was still in High School. After high school I went into the U.S. Navy as a SeaBee, this is the Navy's Construction Battalion. I learned allot about all forms of construction and construction management. From small repair jobs for offices, to planning and management of multi-million dollar Base additions and renovations. After the military, I returned to the Jackson area where I began building around the Clark Lake and Lake Columbia Area. After ten years I felt it was time to move on, and then worked North of Jackson building spec homes for a builder for a few years before the housing market started to decline. After that I went to Ann Arbor and worked for a national repair and renovation company.

During the course of becoming a licensed builder. The State of Michigan enacted new legislation requiring all licensed builders to attend a minimum of 40 hours of classroom instruction. I was one of the first to go through this process and take the new examinations.
